Welcome to the Clinical COPD Questionnaire (CCQ)
A concise, evidence-based tool for assessing health status in individuals with COPD
What is the CCQ?
The Clinical COPD Questionnaire (CCQ) is a concise, self-administered tool designed to assess health status in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It captures key aspects of symptoms, functional state, and mental status, providing a reliable and valid measure of how COPD affects daily life.
Evidence-Based
The CCQ is validated and widely used in both clinical practice and research worldwide.

The graphical version (CCQg) provides a validated, literacy-sensitive tool designed for patients with limited health literacy. Learn more about the CCQg validation study.
Why use the CCQ?
The CCQ enables healthcare professionals to monitor patient-reported outcomes in COPD over time and evaluate the impact of interventions effectively.
According to research, the minimal clinically important difference (MCID) for the CCQ total score is approximately 0.4, meaning that changes of this magnitude or greater may reflect meaningful improvement or deterioration. View the original CCQ validation study.
